Between them the Ortler and Stilfserjoch offer excellent sporting facilities all year round not only for skiers and mountaineers. Since the opening of the cycle path to Meran, Vinschgau has developed into a real paradise for cyclists. The Garden Park Hotel offers those interested in sport an indoor swimming pool, a tennis court, free hire of bicycles and organises weekly hikes during which you can learn about the animal and plant life of the southern Alps. There are stables 10 minutes from the hotel. Nature enthusiasts will find the abundant local flora and fauna well worth seeing. The recently opened museum of the National Park, ‚aquaprad‘, dealing with various aspects of water, merits special mention.
