The Vinschgau Valley – your hiking paradise
“You haven't really been somewhere unless you've been there on foot “ – Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
Discovering the hiking area of the Vinschgau Valley
For all hiking enthusiasts who love the multifaceted landscape of South Tyrol the Vinschgau Valley is a small, unspoiled paradise – a hiking paradise which begins directly at our front door. Therefore you can leave your car on our parking lot while you are on holiday. Please ask at the reception for further information and insider tips regarding the surrounding hiking areas.
Would you rather spend a peaceful holiday and just enjoy the panoramic views over the mountain world of the National Park, without long and exhausting hiking tours? No problem! In the surroundings there are many modern chairlifts:
- The chairlift at Prämajur (15 km away from us), above Burgusio/Burgeis, which allows hiking and mountain biking enthusiasts to quickly and easily reach the heart of the recreational area “Adventure Mountain Watles”
- The chairlift to the Rifugio Forcola in Trafoi (15 km away from us); from this place you can enjoy a perfect view of the Ortles glacier
- The chairlifts Kanzel and Langenstein and the cable car in Solda/Sulden (18 km away from us) which offer a unique view to King Ortles on the opposite site
The VinschgauCard is another highlight for our guests. The card allows– via the integrated Mobilcard – free access to the Vinschgau Valley Train as well as all public transport throughout the South Tyrol region. Cardholders also enjoy discounts for cable cars, museums, and various sporting and recreational facilities. The card is valid from April to August.
