We start from our Hotel in Prad (900m) direction Gomagoi and pass the 48 curves up to the Stilfserjoch (2757m) enjoying the beautiful view from the pass. We drive on down to Bormio and continue then along the SS 38 to Tirano, Sondrio, Morbegno and Colico at the Lake of Como. There we treat ourselves to a little break.
We drive on to north, direction Suisse. Right after Chiavenna we pass the border and go up the Malojapass (1815m). This route is very nice to ride, changing from fast and large curves in the valley into narrow curves in the upper section.
Reached the pass we stay on the plateau and ride along the Silvaplana-lakes to the well-known town of St. Moritz. At the rotary traffic right after St. Moritz we stay at the right and go on to the Berninapass (2328m) up to the glaciers. After the pass we turn left to Livigno and after passing the Forcola di Livigno (2315m) we get to the duty-free area of Livigno.
The ride over the Foscagno to Bormio is very alternating. The well asphalted road unfortunately presents a lot of potholes. Caution is required! Nevertheless the route is wonderful, the landscape is breath-taking and the villages are fascinating. At the end our route brings us back to the Stilfser Joch and to South Tyrol/Prad.
