Mountain biking in the Vinschgau Valley: single trails, downhills, high Alpine cycling challenges and diverse bike parks are waiting for you. The Ortler mountain group and the Stelvio National Park are the ideal starting points for your cycling adventure. Our Garden Park Hotel is situated idyllically in Prato allo Stelvio at the foot of the National Park and is therefore a perfect destination for a holiday on two wheels. The Mediterranean climate and 300 days of sunshine every year make the Vinschgau Valley a paradise for mountain bike fans.
Would you prefer leisure cycling tours and discovering the cultural landscape of the Vinschgau Valley? Then we suggest you the 80km long “Etschradweg”, a cycling trail along the old Roman road Via Claudia Augusta. The trail runs from Lake Resia in the North to the spa town of Meran/Merano. The tours along the bottom of the valley are optimal for moderate cyclists and families. We are always pleased to recommend you smaller tours for the whole family too, for example the way to the fish pond, with its playground and restaurant.
Free rental of city bikes and mountain bikes
The Garden Park Hotel is perfectly prepared for your bike holiday, no matter which level of difficulty you seek for. We offer a free rental of trekking bikes and simple mountain bikes and also a lockable bike storeroom. In addition, there is a bike shuttle which will take you to the starting point and you will only have to enjoy the descents. At our reception you will find tour maps with touring suggestions.
E-Bike rental
Another Garden plus are the e-bikes and e-mountainbikes in our bike rental for an additional charge. Due to the pedal support you can overcome inclines without any problems.
