From Prad we pass the 48 curves up to the Stilfser Joch (2757m) in the National Park. From the pass we ride down to the Umbrailpass (2501m) and we pass along the border between Italy and Suisse. The road from the pass downhill is in bad conditions.
The first village we reach in Suisse is Sta. Maria and from there we go up to the Ofenpass (2149m) and then down to Zernez. In Zernez we turn left direction St. Moritz.
We don’t go directly to St. Moritz, but right before we turn left to Pontresina and ride up the Berninapass (2328m). After the glacier on the pass we find now a completely different vegetation: palms and vineyards. We reach Tirano and drive direction south to the Passo d’Aprica (1176m).
This sections are not so good to ride on but they offer a beautiful view over the landscape. After the pass we get to the village Edolo and turn right to
Ponte di Legno and up the Gaviapass (2621m), where the road isn’t still in best conditions.
From the pass we go down to Santa Caterina Valfurva and to Bormio. This sections are well to ride on and we climb then the Stilfser Joch from where we get back down to Prad.
